A HISTORY OF THE YEARS

FIRST ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
·        October 16-18, 1998
·        Big Bend Motor Inn
·        35 registrants (we stamped each person’s hand)
·        Ranger guided tour (Flippo/Sharlow) to Sotol Vista on Friday afternoon
·        Poker run started at Study Butte Store to RGV
·        Barbecue dinner and keg of Red Hook included in registration
·        Dave Lanman played in Mission Lodge parking lot
·        $680 raised for FBBNP 

SECOND ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS
·        October 15-17, 1999
·        Lajitas on the Rio Grande Resort (Giddings Brown, General Manager)
·        98 registrants (41 pre-registered)
·        First year for wrist bands
·        First year for tee shirts (design by Robert Ward and Don Sharlow – printed by Austin Shirtworks)
·        Poker run began at Bunkhouse, Lajitas
·        First year for bike games - Main Street, Lajitas
·        Barbecue dinner and Saturday night dance with the Pinche Gringos included in registration
·        $1,380 raised for FBBNP

 THIRD ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
        October 20-22, 2000
·        Lajitas Resorts (Keith Goodwin, Hotel Manager)
·        128 registrants (32 pre-registered)
·        Second year for tee shirts  (design by Crystal Albright – printed by Dogwood Silkscreen Co.)
·        Poker run began at Bunkhouse
·        Bike games beside bunkhouse
·        Saturday night dance with the Pinche Gringos included in registration
·        First year for Sunday morning services
·        $3,700 raised for FBBNP


FOURTH ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
·        October 19-21, 2001
·        Lajitas Resorts (Dan Carroll, General Manager)
·        191 registrants (58 pre-registered)
·        First year for rally pins (donated by Chad Tinney)
·        First year for colored poster and flyers (designed by Erik Walker)
·        Third year for tee shirts (design by Erik Walker – printed by Dogwood Silkscreen Co.)
·        Poker run began at Bunkhouse
·        Bike games beside bunkhouse (first year for plaques – Laser Point, Inc.)
·        Saturday night dance with Gary Primmich Band included in registration
·        Sunday morning services in newly constructed outdoor amphitheater
·        $6,789 raised for FBBNP (as of November 27, 2001)

 FIFTH ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
        October 18-20, 2002
·       Study Butte Community Center and Big Bend Motor Inn
·       153 registrants (44 pre-registered)
·        Second year for rally pins (donated by Thunder Press)
·        Fourth year for tee shirts (design by Erik Walker – printed by Dogwood Silkscreen Co.)
·        Poker run began at Study Butte Community Center
·        Bike games beside bunkhouse (second year for plaques – Laser Point, Inc.)
·        First year for auction after bike games (all items donated by businesses)
·        Saturday night barbecue (catered by Big Bend Motor Inn) at Community Center included in registration
·        Saturday night dance with the Pinche Gringos at La Kiva included in registration (band paid for by La Kiva)
·        Sunday morning services at Community Center
·        $4,212 raised for FBBNP (as of January 28, 2003) 

SIXTH ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
·        October 17-19, 2003
·        Rally headquarters - Study Butte Community Center
·        268 registrants (83 pre-registered)
·        Third year for rally pins – cow skull/black background (donated by Thunder Press)
·        First year for pocket-sized rally schedule (designed by Tom Vandenberg)
·        First year for vendors (charged $25 each)
·        First year to rent port-a-johns (4 each from vendor in Ft. Davis)
·        Fourth year for tee shirts (cow skull/black background, printed by Dogwood Silkscreen, Inc.)
·        Second year for sponsor logos on tee shirts ($300 donation per logo)
·        Poker run began at Study Butte Community Center
·        Bike games at Study Butte Community Center (third year for plaques – Laser Point, inc.) /CMA bike blessing

·        Tony Aguilar Memorial Ride from Community Center to Terlingua Ghost Town
·        Second year for auction after bike games (jacket donated by Legacy Harley Davidson in Odessa)
·        Saturday night barbecue (catered by Big Bend Motor Inn) at Community Center included in registration
·        Saturday night dance with the Pinche Gringos at La Kiva included in registration (band paid for by La Kiva)
·        Raffle for 2003 Anniversary Edition Heritage Soft Tail Classic – 250 tickets sold at $100 each (drawing at
La  Kiva, 9pm Saturday)
·        Sunday morning services at Community Center by CMA
·        $9,035 raised for FBBNP 

SEVENTH ANNUAL RIDE FOR TRAILS:
·        October 22-24, 2004
·        Rally headquarters - Study Butte Community Center
·        271 participants (115 pre-registered)
·        Third year for rally pins – cow skull/orange background ($300 of cost donated by Robert “Fat Robert” Filla)
·        Second year for pocket-sized rally schedule (designed by Eric Leonard)
·        Second year for vendors (charged $25 at rally/$20 for pre-registrants)
·        First year for food vendor at Rally HQ (Nathan paid $100 for exclusive rights)
·        Second year to rent port-a-johns (4 each from Frank’s Septic in Ft. Davis)
·        Fifth year for tee shirts (Texas flag and cow skull logo designed by Erik Walker, printed by Dogwood         Silkscreen, Inc.)
·        Third year for sponsor logos on tee shirts ($300 donation per logo)
·        Poker run began at Study Butte Community Center
·        Bike games at Study Butte Community Center (fourth year for plaques – Laser Point, Inc.)
·        Third year for auction after bike games (jacket donated by Legacy Harley Davidson in Odessa)
·        Tony Aguilar/Frankie Cobos Memorial Ride from Community Center to Terlingua Ghost Town/CMA bike blessing prior to parade

·        Raffle for 2004 Fat Boy – 212 tickets sold at $100 each (drawing at La Kiva, 9:30pm Saturday)  WINNER:  Todd Liverman
·        Raffle for enclosed trailer – 90 tickets sold at $20 each (drawing at La Kiva, 9:30pm Saturday)  WINNER:  David Trussell

·        Sunday morning services at Community Center by CMA
